I've made a simple network configuration script: znet
It depends on iproute2 and one of three dhcp clients: dhcpcd, sdhcp or udhcpc. I may add support for ifconfig too.
I've cleaned up my xinit helper and named it: zxinit.
It's pretty basic, but I've decided to post it anyway.
I didn't like the official ix.io client, so I wrote my own. It's also hosted on ix.io.
This is hilarious. But expected, as the steam.sh script is horrible in more ways than one. Sloppy and ugly. It's not an attack against whoever did this, just an opinion on the code itself.
What I find to be even more amusing is that less than a day before this came to light, I've moved my browser and Steam into separate chroots just in case. And got a lot of people telling me I'm paranoid and stupid for doing so, as it's more trouble than it's worth. Well who's laughing now, bitches? :D
Why aren't we using ssh for everything?
I've been saying that for years now :D
Yo. This is a post written from the Moscow subway via double ssh using a smartphone.
Another udev alternative has arrived: vdev.
Looks pretty interesting. It exposes device nodes through a FUSE filesystem, so there's no need for a mediator like logind or consolekit. This is an awesome idea, and I wish the project the best of things.
